CMA do not sell this version for the Astoria or Rio equipment, but they will work just fine for their models. These are a "self-cleaning" style, purportedly designed to make cleaning easier. They also do not allow grounds to build up and get stuck in the screen like the solid-backed style. If you would prefer the older solid-backed style, use: C_32 (the C_32 are what CMA would send to you).

Even with diligent and thorough cleaning, coffee oils and grounds get stuck, unseen, between the solid back-plate and the mesh on top, eventually turning rancid. The mesh eventually wears out as well, expanding in different portions which can lead to uneven water dispersion
Don't wait until you "need" to! Depending on use and other factors, these should be replaced every 4-6 months, as a regular preventive mantenance
